1982: Esce al The Empire in Leicester Square a Londra il film dei Pink Floyd "The wall".

1993: Muore il cantautore Leo Ferrè. Aveva 76 anni.

2003: Muore alla veneranda età di 95 anni il compositore cubano Compay Segundo. Divenuto famoso nel 1997 a seguito dell'uscita del docu-film 'Buena Vista Social Club' di Wim Wenders.
